A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US
Formed in 1966, and continuously running ever since, Ruston Marconi Judo Club is the oldest judo club in the historic city of Lincoln.
Over the past 50 years, hundreds of eager students have passed through it’s doors and received comprehensive tuition from the ever evolving coaching team. Many of our students have gone on to coach themselves and pass on the knowledge learnt.

“We’ve been coming to Ruston Marconi Judo Club for about two months now, at first I was worried my child might get hurt because they are so small but the Coaching Team have taken it at a suitable pace and not pressurised my child to do any fighting that she doesn’t want to.”
“Over the past 50 years Ruston Marconi Judo Club has consistently trained students of all ages to a very high standard.
In this time we have produced around 20 National Champions, an achievement we are very proud of. Most of our Coaching Team still compete at National Level Competitions, this means they can call upon all their experience when passing on knowledge to their students.
I feel Judo has many benefits, including improving fitness, self defence, strength, agility and balance, as well as teaching basic Japanese terminology.
If you’re an experienced player or a complete novice please feel free to come down to the club on a Thursday evening. We look forward to seeing you.”
